Progressive Preservation TalksTuesday 12 JulyColumbus Area Visitors Center5:00 pm – 7:00 pmJoin us for a new evening conversation series about how Progressive Preservation efforts can help build communities.This first event of the series will take place at the Columbus Area Visitors Center and will feature Marsh Davis (Indiana Landmarks)and Tiffany Tolbert (National Trust for Historic Preservation) in conversation with Richard McCoy (Landmark Columbus Foundation). The evening will begin with a reception at 5:00 pm and continue to 7:00 pm.Since 2006, Marsh Davis has been President of Indiana Landmarks, the nation's largest statewide preservation organization. He, and many from Indiana Landmarks, have been involved with Columbus preservation efforts for decades. Tiffany Tolbert is Associate Director of the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund at the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Her research on Rosenwald Schools, African American communities, and the African American experience in Indiana has been included in multiple publications such as Reflections, a publication of the Georgia Historic Preservation Division, and Traces, a publication of the Indiana Historical Society.
