David Serby is a Southern California country and roots musician who has played everywhere from dark dive bars and honky tonk watering holes to opening for Tracy Lawrence and playing the Palomino Stage at Stagecoach in the Coachella Valley. He has released five records including his critically acclaimed albums I Just Don’t Go Home, Another Sleepless Night, and Poor Man’s Poem, and he is completing his sixth record tentatively titled The Jukebox is Broken Serby is influenced by California country legends Buck Owens, Dwight Yoakam, and Dave Alvin, classic honky tonk kingpins Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson, and English pop rockers Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds. His band includes heavy hitters Ed Tree on guitar (Spencer Davis Group, Juice Newton, Rita Coolidge), Taras Prodaniuk on bass guitar (Dwight Yoakam, Lucinda Williams, Merle Haggard, Richard Thompson), and Jim Doyle on drums (Ted Russell Kamp, Lynda Kay, Hot Club of Los Angeles).
