Welcome to the CASA Royale! Winnebago County CASA will host its first CASA Royale charity casino fundraising gala at the beautiful Embassy Suites by Hilton Rockford Riverfront hotel on Saturday, August 27th . During the VIP Cocktail Hour from 6 pm to 7 pm, VIP ticket holders will enjoy an open bar and delicious hors d’oeuvres—along with a head start on trying their luck at the tables for the opportunity to win some fantastic raffle items! From 7 pm to 10 pm, the fun will continue with heavy appetizers, a cash bar, live music, a silent auction, and raffle. Proceeds from CASA Royale will benefit Winnebago County CASA, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for children in the Winnebago County juvenile court system who have experienced abuse or neglect. A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained volunteer who is appointed by a juvenile court judge to represent the best interests of a child who has experienced abuse or neglect. CASAs watch over and advocate for these children to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system or languish in an inappropriate group or foster home. CASAs stay with each case until the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. For many children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives. Since 1987, our organization has trained more than 700 volunteers and served more than 3,600 children in Winnebago County.
