Full Job Description ASBESTOS ABETMATE WORKER / SUPERVISOR. ( CONTACT : (206) 758-8247 for more Details ) -Assemble Scaffolding and seal off work area using plastic and duct tape. -Position different air evacuation equipment and filtration system's in precise area to ensure safe abatement. -Be able to to perform manual demolition -Follow health and safety guidelines for safe abatement -Be able to wear and mask and decontamination suits for long period of time. -Cut and remove all different kinds of ACM contaminated material. -Bag all contaminated debris in double bags and remove from property and safely store in asbestos container. -Responsible for having clean and safe job site. -Always be respectful of people home and belongings. -Position mobile decontamination unit or portable showers at the entrance of the work area. -Perform daily equipment check. -Either hold an asbestos worker card or be willing to go through asbestos training. -Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and trucks. SKILLS: Knowledge of basic construction techniques, and practices concerning asbestos, mold or lead- based paint removal or demolition and deconstruction operations; Must possess Asbestos worker Certification; Ability to lift 50lbs. unaided, stand, climb on ladders, roofs, and uneven / unstable surfaces. Ability to follow oral instructions promptly and accurately; Ability to work in disagreeable conditions; Ability to perform strenuous physical labor; Ability to work as an affective team member; Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships.
