The WAVE is an annual youth conference hosted by New Life Maui church. This conference was created to Unite, Empower and Inspire the Youth. #1 - UNITE We are stronger when we are united in one mind and one accord, fulfilling His agenda and will. “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17 #2 - EMPOWER “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children” Hosea 4:6 We have to desire and obtain knowledge of who our God is, His splendor, power, His laws and word, which gives us power over the enemy. “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” 2 Corinthians 2:11 The WAVE conference will empower young people with the knowledge, wisdom and understanding to be proactive, not reactive when the enemy strikes. It will equip our young people with understanding so that they can truly know God for themselves and not through others. #3 - INSPIRE “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8 What good is a conference that only affects a moment? Where attendees leave with memories of how awesome and powerful it was, only to go back home the same. (Same habits, lifestyle, same ritual, no change just momentary flames) The WAVE youth conference was created not only to bless the atendees, but to inspire them to step out of their comfort zone, be a blessing and witnesses unto God to impact their church and communities. They leave with more than memories but, ideas, motivation and a fire to IMPACT the world. The flame is not meant to be kept within, but to spread like wildfire.
