Our continuing education features Owner of Nutritious Thoughts, Kendra Gaffney, RD, LDN, CEDS-S and Emily Diznoff, MD. They'll be covering the following objectives: Defining menopauseMedical history of menopauseDescribing physical & psychological changes in the body during the menopause transitionOptions to alleviate menopausal transition symptoms Nutritional support through an eating disorder informed and weight inclusive lensSuggestions on how to communicate with the individuals struggling with food and body with compassionate language through a patient centered approachExplore case presentations weaving Menopause and Eating DisordersBy exploring the ins and outs of Menopause from the lens of positivity, we hope to provide resources to support the changes that may occur, alleviation of symptoms, if desired, and to aid in prevention of increased disordered behaviors with food, movement and the body through the life cycle. Join us as we learn and connect with other providers and local businesses serving this community. Alison Cross, our Chapter President, will also contribute to this presentation and 1.5 CEs will be provided by the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals, P.O. Box 1295, Pekin, IL 61555. The International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5912.
