The Game Changerz Athletics Skillz Showcase offers athletes a great opportunity to compete and test their skills through various combine drills including the 40-Yard Dash, Shuttle Run, and the 3-Cone Drill. Athletes attending will also receive high-level instruction led by a coaching staff of former professional and collegiate athletes through a series of position-specific drills. Instruction will develop fundamentals, advanced skills, footwork, team play, and game situations. Following position-specifics, there will be a competition period where athletes will have a chance to match up against other players and showcase their game. Each athlete will compete at their primary position, and grouping will occur based on each athlete’s age and ability. Proper stretching and warming up will take place prior to all drills and competitions. Registered athletes will receive a Skillz Showcase Results email to their registered email within 3 days of the event. Top performers at the Skillz Showcase will receive awards and be recognized at the conclusion of the camp. Every athlete will get two attempts at each drill and only the top score of the two attempts will be displayed. Height and weight measurements, as well as headshots, will be taken during the time of registration to include with each athlete’s results from the showcase. Athletes are encouraged to check-in at least 15 minutes before the start of the Skillz Showcase (8:30 AM) to allow enough time to check-in, have breakfast, and have their measurements and headshot taken. There will be a media team present to capture the Skillz Showcase and the content will be shared through all Game Changerz Athletics social media platforms: @GameChangerzAth (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) We invite parents, friends, and fans of the athletes to come and watch them participate in the Skillz Showcase. However, only credentialed participants, staff, volunteers, and media will be allowed access to the field. Registration end Saturday, July 23rd at 10:00 PM.
