Now hiring flaggers at a road construction company in Denver, CO! Must have a valid driver license! This role will allow you to learn traffic control from the ground up through both flagging & laboring. The primary duty of the flagger is to control movement of traffic (vehicle, pedestrian, & bicycle) through construction projects in a safe manner. Flaggers will direct movement of traffic on site using a paddle, hand, and flag signals. The flagger warns construction/utility workers of dangerous situations that may arise in the work zone, such as a vehicle fails to heed signals, to prevent accident and injury to works. The flagger informs drivers of detour routes though work sites. Responsibilities: • Direct traffic safely round work zones using stop/slow paddles and hand signals • Assist with loading and unloading traffic control devices to and from trucks • Assist with setting up and taking down work zones that will protect workers and the travelling public • Work with the Traffic Control Department at work sites to direct motorists by flagging them away from worker activities, moving equipment, oncoming traffic, etc. • Deploy and setup arrow boards and message boards for work zones • Conduct themselves in a manner that promotes a professional atmosphere and ensure that the service encounter with the customer is an exceptional experience • Follow all company and jobsite safety rules and regulations • Arrive to work site on time wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), e.g., hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, masks, and ear plugs, as required, and when applicable, a respirator • Adhere to all company Policies and Procedures • All other duties as assigned Monday – Saturday (may work some Sundays) Start between 4:30 am – 6:30 am and end about 7 pm $17 - $19/hour depending on experience + OT!
