I am posting this in hopes of helping a lady (cat rescuer) whose one of her rescued cats needs surgery. The cat needs to have a leg amputated due to a cancerous tumor. She had surgery done to remove it but because the tumor is located in a joint the Vet was unable to get all of it out and now it has grown back even bigger and now the only option is amputation. The lady is disabled and can no longer work even tho she has tried very hard to continue working despite her Dr. not wanting her working anymore as she has several serious health issues. Due to her now very low income from not working all she has is a small disability check. She is unable to rescue more cats in the future as she simply cannot afford to give them the medical care they need and deserve and that is heartbreaking for her. The estimate for surgery is approx $1,000 -$1,200 and the cat cannot get the surgery unless the money is raised. Any and all donations can be made directly to the Vet Clinic so that you know this is NOT a scam. I am sure the lady would also be open to anyone coming over to see the cat in person as well as her remaining other 3 rescues. She LOVES her cats with all her heart and soul. This is a last ditch effort to hopefully raise the necessary funds for this cat. If anyone can help please contact me and I will give you the Vet Clinic info where donations can be sent. Kitty's name is Squirt so I guess I should title this as "Operation Squirt".....she is a adorable little heart stealer!
