Rehoming two male rats

Description

I am CONSIDERING rehoming my two male rats to the right home. I grabbed them from someone on Facebook a year ago because I was worried they would be used as feeder rats with the wrong person. They have been a little hand shy ever since I got them and I've tried to work with them, but I'm not very well versed in helping small animals. Recently, the albino one (he only has one eye!) has developed some small lesions on his skin around his shoulder areas. I know that skin sensitivities and allergies can be a tricky thing, and I just don't have the knowledge and skills to help him as much as he needs. I can handle him enough to move him from one place to another when cleaning the cage, but I don't think he will tolerate me giving him baths. He just needs someone who knows how to befriend rats. I'm more of a dog person, I've discovered. Also, my living situation is crazy right now and I haven't had the opportunity to let them out of their cage much. I worry that they will wiggle away from me and that a dog or cat will get to them before I do. They need someone to play and interact with them more. A small rehoming fee will apply to ensure they do not end up as feeder rats. But that can be negotiable or even waived for the right person who can provide proof that they know how to work with rats and have the proper set up for them. They are about a year and a half old. They will come with their cage and whatever supplies, food, and accessories I have left. They LOVE dried banana chips. They originally lived in a smaller cage I can give you as well, though it has been sitting in the yard for a while and will need a good cleaning. I'm not in a hurry to re-home them. I'd rather they stay with me than end up in a worse situation they are in currently. Please email me if you have any questions or would like additional pictures.
