Female Vocalist Needed for Event Band

Event band band in search of a female vocalist to cover a wide range of modern and classic songs in the genres of rock, pop, soul, R&B, country, folk, and dance music from early 1950’s through today. Band is a fun, high energy group, (ages 30-45), not your typical slicked-out cover band, often booked for chiller events, weddings, cocktail hours, corporate functions etc. All performances are paid. Pay starts at $400 per event and ranges higher depending on event particulars. The band has one date in July (7/27), and two fall dates, (9/4 and 10/22) that we are looking to fill immediately! Please let us know if you are available for those dates! Performances are located regionally in NY, Long Island, NJ, PA, CT, and regional areas. Many events on weekends some occasional weekdays. Band is centered around NYC area and rehearses in Brooklyn. Please specify if you have a car as this may be helpful for commuting to gigs! Requirements: *Ability to learn new material as specified in advance of the gig *Sing 40-50% of lead vocal material, plus backing vocals or harmonies *Ability to emulate modern and classic pop vocal styles *Some experience performing in a cover band, touring band, cruise ship band or musical-theatre situation *Posses a personality that is professional, fun, reliable, and easy to work with! *Ability to entertain audiences, rock out with a band onstage, and occasionally make announcements, engage audiences *Ability to handle basic hand percussion including tambourine and shaker not required, but preferred! *If you are also an instrumentalist, please specify what instrument(s) you play!
