hip replacement or alternative?

Over the past year plus my left hip is in horrible condition, just like my right one was when I had it replaced about seven years ago. My left hip is bone on bone now, I don't have insurance and trying to figure out an alternative. Over the past seven months I tried "stem cell" with an organization here which didn't help much other that I can sleep on my left side now. Do any of you think cortisone shots will help? Do you have any other suggestions? Thank you
