We’re looking to add to our fast growing team and we are currently hiring for the following position: FURNITURE MOVER/INSTALLER The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has a keen eye for detail and is able to easily keep up with many moving parts in an ever changing environment. Passion for design is a bonus! You will be an essential part of our Furniture Staging team by loading and unloading furniture to/from client homes. Professionalism and discretion is fundamental to our success with our high-level clients and close-knit team. Starting pay rate is $20 per hour, based on experience. Start time is 8:30am Monday-Friday. Applicants should live in the greater Los Angeles area. This is an opportunity to grow with us and there is plenty of room for advancement as we build out this component of the business. We offer health insurance discounts, a retirement plan through CalSavers, and mobile phone reimbursement. A typical work day begins at 8:30AM with a meeting and coffee in our Altadena office HQ. Moving crews are assembled and usually dispatched by 10AM. Adaptability is key as schedules/timelines with our staging clients are not flexible. Send all materials to: [email protected] POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Must have prior experience handling and protecting furniture Must demonstrate basic English skills Must maintain a valid driver license Excellent driving record (must provide DMV printout, No Accidents, No DUI’s) Must have access to internet via smartphone for scheduling purposes and communication purposes Must maintain a high level of attention to detail in all tasks; creativity and critical thinking a bonus! Must be able to effectively communicate with team leads and clients Must be able to perform the following physical activities, repetitively: Lift heavy items (up to 60 pounds) + Bending, reaching, lifting, climbing stairs and inclines Job Duties Include: Load company vehicle(s) and deliver staging furniture and accessories to and from warehouse. Possibility of driving company box truck with capabilities to transport/pickup materials to and from specified destinations. Deliver staging materials safely and timely, without damage Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures. Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles Interact in a positive and professional manner with co-workers, supervisors, customers the general public while representing Pride of Place Operate an electronic device for GPS and daily records Have a positive can-do attitude. Performs other related duties as assigned
