Description
We are developing a SHORT DOCUMENTARY FILM on the IMPACT of LOCKDOWN ACTIVE-SHOOTER DRILLS in schools.
The film will be completely in the perspective of children and in their voices so we are looking specifically for interview subjects that are aged 10-14 (grades 4-8). Interview subjects must have experienced an in-school lockdown drill (general or active-shooter) within the last couple years and be open to discussing subsequent impressions, ideas and feelings on-camera. Honesty and openness is paramount.
Interviews will be shot as needed in the Greater Los Angeles area over the next couple months. Video team will be no more than 2-3 people and can be scheduled per your availability.
Because prospective subjects are minors...parent permission is REQUIRED. Permission forms will be provided and the list of possible questions will be given to parents beforehand. Also, interviews can be conducted with parent/guardian present.
Please reply with your interest, the area that you live in Los Angeles and the school the child is currently attending.
This is an important work that will be used as an educational or admin policy tool moving forward.
Thank you!
