In this position, you are responsible for producing and batching ready-mix concrete and managing the mixing and loading of concrete mixes according to order specifications for customer delivery. What You Will Get to Do: Batch concrete using computerized equipment that produces accurately calibrated and consistent mix quality Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or by hand to ensure conformance to established standards Report any deviations from the norm that might impact production, quality or processing efficiencies Check inventory control of raw materials, concrete additives and/or specialized materials and notifies appropriate suppliers of production needs. Communicate with Dispatch and Transportation departments regarding material delivery Responsible for keeping accurate weight, measure, and billing information to ensure proper crediting to customer. Responsible for compliance with applicable environmental regulations as it relates to the proper operation of batch plant equipment. Responsible for daily inspection of facilities and will complete maintenance checklist. Will operate a front end loader when needed. What We Are Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent required Must be able to effectively communicate and safely follow directions Must have the ability to operate Loader and other yard equipment as needed Must have the ability to work cooperatively as part of a productive team Must have the ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is required Knowledge of Command batch system is preferred Working knowledge of concrete and admixtures is preferred Must be able to work in elevated, enclosed and sometimes hazardous areas in changing weather conditions.
