Hi, I'm Chase (sociability with dogs unknown…would need to keep separate initially, with a SLOW introduction to dog(s) in home). Some of us dogs don't do well in shelter environment, I am one of them. Sadly the shelter doesn't help scared dogs like us and they just put us on the Elist to be killed. Is this a reason to take my life away? NO! I now need a patient foster that will give me time to build trust and will help me feel safe interacting with people. Can you save my life? Look at my sad sad eyes how can someone dump me in a shelter??.....I am a 3-year-old, un-neutered, brindle Boxer mix (66 lbs.). My owners surrendered me after being part of their family for 1 year. Sadly, they didn’t say why they didn’t want me anymore! They told the staff that I was good with kids, housebroken, and crate trained. They didn’t know how I would do with cats and other dogs. I arrived at the shelter on 6/26, and by 6/28, I had been given the euthanasia date of 7/4 because the shelter said I am under-socialized. The shelter just didn't give me enough time to adjust.! I do come up to the kennel door when people come and see me. I take treats gently and I will turn and sit with my back to you in hopes you will pet me through the kennel. I whimper a bit because I am scared and uncomfortable. As scared as I have been, I have made some slow progress. I am still a bit timid when out of my kennel and get a bit shy when trying to pet me. I need a foster that will go slow with me and will give me the time to build trust and progress at my own pace.
