Description
Enjoy the Fun of Yesterday --- Today! Free Event Fun for all ages! The Saturday, July 16, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. show is FREE to the public and will have close to 80 tables showcasing hundreds of vintage original Gilbert Erector Sets, amazing Erector Models in action, American Flyer model trains, science sets, magic sets and many other unusual Gilbert items. In the 1900's, erector sets were one of the most popular toys in America. It was the toy that could make hundreds of other toys. Come see the creativity of the adult, and even junior members, of this organization who are coming from all over the U.S.A. for the event. You really do have to see it to believe it..... a very unique event.
Children are especially invited to build an Erector model at the YOU-BUILD-IT-TABLE, free to take home. Also, a special drawing will be held for youth to enter to try to win 1 of 3 large "Builder" Erector Sets! A.C. Gilbert was a forerunner of STEM education. This is a great chance to extend learning through the summer.
Being held at The Miller Center in Lewisburg, food and drinks will be available for purchase at the "Kitch It 2 The Curb" Cafe".
