To be put down in the shelter 7/2 or sooner! Mason was found wandering the streets alone and was hanging with finder but darted away and hid when animal control came for him. Mason #A4742409 is a 2-year-old Kelpie, 26 lbs. Mason has had a rough journey at the shelter, but he is trying hard to slowly come out of his shell. While he hasn’t built up enough trust for leash walks or lots of petting just yet, he did allow a brief pet on the head. He took treats from handler’s hand, play bowed, and even wagged his tail. He is showing that he has so much potential! He also is interested in dogs, (in a good way). He has had a few fence greetings with dogs and seemed really curious. A few days ago, he was play bowing at one of them. If you have other animals in home, he would need to be safely kept separate until a slow intro can be done! Mason will need to be fostered by someone willing to give him the time and space to earn his trust. There is such a smart, fun active dog just waiting to come out!
