Join us in-person at Vantage Ventures for a screening of "Black in the Newsroom," a 15-minute documentary film exploring the story of Elizabeth Montgomery, a talented journalist who lands her dream job in a major U.S. newsroom — but ends up fighting a deep-rooted system of harm. In partnership with Black by God, Vantage Ventures, Media 2070, WVU School of Journalism - NewStart Program, WVU Center for Black Culture and Research, WVU Health Affairs, and 100 Days of Appalachia, we can't wait to debut this film! The mini-documentary will be followed by a distinguished panel of BIPOC journalists and Academics discussion on promoting change for future journalists.
