Thinking about a bartender I used to enjoy talking to... last summer, or so. No...maybe 2-3 summers ago. She was a single mom like many bartenders in Brooklyn. Tryin' to make ends meet raising two young kids all by herself.
As usual in the world behind the bar, staff come and go. There's always a lot of hirings and firings. But she had personality and I always think that's what counts.
Physically: she was short, Latina, tanned skin with thick black hair and dark brown eyes. Just wondering how she's doin' lately, that's all. Sometimes a face stays in your mind.
Ack! Btw, I can't get the hang of the new bar scene these days. Too many rules. It's all screwed up. If I go hang in a taproom after work, I don't want to have to read a rulebook hanging by the doorway as I enter. A tavern is a place to go to get **away** from assholes, rules and bullshit, right?
