Le Vent des Roses is an experimental short film that uses the mediums of dance, music, costume design, and visual art to explore the universal experience of heartbreak and the emotional journey to find hope and healing in its aftermath. This film features an all Blak and cast as well as traditional and contemporary African dance.
We’ve been in pre-production since February and we are so excited to see this project come to life but we need your help to make it happen!
We know that with the support of our community we can surpass our initial goal of $15,000.
During the fundraising event we will be featuring an exclusive film screening of Dokhontou (2021), a live performance showcasing movement and visual elements from traditional West African and contemporary African culture. This performance was brought to life thanks to the artistic vision of our co-directors, Kiné Camara and Val Gonzalez. Les Vent de Roses is a continuation of this creative partnership and their desire to increase representation of bipoc artist.
In addition to the film screening, your ticket gives you access to the following:
Music by Lace CadenceFood and DrinksArtist Panel Silent Auction: includes curated items from local businesses including Argosy Cruises, Luigi's Italian Eatery, Ashanti Renee Boutique, and many more. All ticket sales and proceeds from this event will be used towards pre-productions costs including paying our cast, crew, and collaborators, location equipment, set design, etc.
This event is a great opportunity to support local bipoc women artists and entrepreneurs.
Thank you and we look forward to spending a fun-filled night with all our supporters!
