Description

Welcome First Baptist Church members and friends, The following statement is an update of our current Covid-19 Protocols regarding in-person worship at the First Baptist Church of Norfolk, Inc. (FBC) or while on any of its properties. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) nor the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Guidelines have issued mandates for houses of worship to close or limit their activities. However, please remember that your safety is our highest concern, and we will continue to follow CDC and VDH Covid-19 guidelines. Listed below are our current Covid-19 protocols: If you are immuno-compromised, please do not attend in-person worship until the threat of Covid-19 and the variants have subsided. If you are experiencing any symptoms or have been exposed to Covid-19, please do not attend in-person worship services. We encourage you to worship with us via the live streaming on the FBC website or simply by Clicking this link to join live worship services. Masks are required to be worn at all times. Cloth masks are not recommended because they provide limited protection for you or those around you. We strongly recommend that you wear the KN95, Surgical Masks or N-95 masks. Proof of vaccination is required to attend in-person worship services. Please practice social distancing in the sanctuary, where possible. We recommend that all members get a Covid-19 booster vaccination when eligible. If you have had close contact with anyone experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, we recommend that you get tested to ensure you are not Covid-19 positive. If you need a Covid-19 test, contact your physician, or visit your nearest pharmacy. If you need further assistance, please contact Pastor Evelyn Lee and she will try to assist you. At the conclusion of the worship service, please follow the directions of the Ushers and Diaconate. We ask that you not congregate in the sanctuary and that you greet others outside the building.Know that these protocols are for us to protect ourselves and each other. Our goal is to ensure everyone’s health and safety as we continue to worship together. Yours In God’s Love, Rev. Jerry Holmes, Interim Pastor
