Description
Mountain Town Music & Wild Women Tribe Presents: Sound Bath and Guided Meditation by Sofia Mileti Join us for an immersive Sound Bath and guided meditation evening with Sofia Mileti on Monday July 25th at the Miner's Hospital Lawn before the Beethoven Festival at 6:30pm. Your harmonic healing experience begins with a guided meditation, preparing your body, mind, and soul to receive and integrate the restorative gift of sound. This sound bath includes crystal singing bowls, tuned to the 432 htz frequency, a frequency capable of healing the body on a cellular level, as it shifts your brainwaves into the theta state. Other instruments like chimes and rain makers are woven into this sound experience, creating dynamic layers of frequencies. Your body and soul will feel completely relaxed. Afterwards participants will be invited to sit in circle and share anything that might have come up for them during the sound bath to integrate and assimilate the healing. Sofia is a certified holistic health coach, yoga instructor, and Foundation Training instructor. She teaches at Enlighten Wellness and The Shop Yoga studios, teaches an 8 week coaching program for women, hosts retreats, and works as a wellness chef. She specializes in helping people heal using food, movement, meditation, breath work, and sound as medicine. This is a free event! We have scheduled right before the Beethoven Festival performance just a few meters away so that participants can walk over and find a seat on the lawn to enjoy an evening of classical music after their sound bath meditation. “This summer series is a continuation of the four-part Sound Healing Series collaboration that Mountain Town Music presented together with Wild Women Tribe in the spring. The goal of that series was to raise awareness on mental health and offer a space for community-activated healing. Proceeds from each sound healing event supported a different local mental health organization: Communities That Care, Connect Summit County, PEACE House and The Cole Project. In total $2,410 was donated to these organizations as a result of the project. Wild Women Tribe connects likeminded women in transformational experiences in the outdoors though daylong workshops called WANDERS and transformational retreats. It’s become a dynamic and fun platform that empowers and unites adventure loving women and female-founded businesses through positive support, shared interests, and connection in Mother Nature. WHAT TO BRING Participants are invited to bring a yoga mat, pillows, blankets, a journal, water bottle and anything else they may desire to fully relax into the experience. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the session in order to get settled and in a comfortable space. WHAT TO EXPECT Please wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to be seated or lying down for the duration of the experience. Cell phones will be turned off and no talking or discussions will occur during the event. Sound healing meditations can often prompt strong emotions to surface. It is encouraged to take care following the experience to not be exposed to loud, busy, energetic surroundings. We have partnered with Live Like Sam to bring you this experience. Live Like Sam honors the short life and legacy of Sam Jackenthal by inspiring youth from all backgrounds to develop self-awareness, courage, leadership, kindness and joy. They help cultivate these attributes through life-skills training and by recognizing young people who live by these principles. They are committed to strengthening youth with programs and scholarships to foster a dedication to service to others ... like Sam lived.
