can anyone teach me electronic music production

I'm looking to start an electronic music project as something to do while my main band goes on hiatus. Problem is that I look up all these tutorials and get overwhelmed and my general skill in recording on my computer is currently rudimentary at best. Is there anyone out there willing to give me a hands on learning on set up, programing, etc. just to get me going? I'm in the Lexington area.
