July 2nd Foraging Tour of Wild Eats & Historic Streets!

Other

210 West Washington Square,Philadelphia PA 19106

02 July, 2022

Description

Discover the food beneath your feet! The 4th of July Weekend is the perfect time to declare our independence from a diet of mainly cultivated foods and walk on the wild side that nature provides for free. It's amazing how many wild edible plants, vines, bushes, and trees are growing in the city. And we'll combine this tour with a walk through historic parks and streets. We will meet at the Washington Square fountain and then walk to Independence Hall past the Second Bank of the United States over to the secret Rose Garden and through historic streets to St. Peter's Cemetery where many historic figures are buried. We'll then circle back to Washington Square. Come prepared to walk and bring something to drink and an umbrella or hat if it gets hot. To prepare for the tour, please visit http://www.wildfoodies.org/Basics.htm. Hope to see you then! Lynn Landes www.WildFoodies.org 714-204-2690
