Ox-Ford Farm is in need of one part-time worker for the summer (or longer). Someone is needed to assist the foreman doing general farm work, and to assist the elderly owner (she is 94 and needs some assistance in the evenings). This may be a good summer job for a highschooler, or for someone needing extra cash. The farm work would be basic stuff- feeding cows and chickens, mowing/weedeating, weeding flower beds, working on fences, waterlines, etc. It is hard work but enjoyable. No previous farm experience is needed. It is necessary to be in good physical condition, as the work is physically demanding. Hours are flexible and work is largely weather-dependent. The new employee would also need to be able to work a few hours every other weekend, on Saturday morning and evening and Sunday evening. This would involve coming in the morning on Saturday at 8:00am to feed the dogs, cat and chickens, as well as Saturday and Sunday evenings at 4:00pm and cooking a small meal (or maybe just heating up leftovers), feeding the three dogs and the cat, and some sweeping/vacuuming/washing clothes. It only takes about 1-2 hrs. You will need patience and thick skin to do this, as she has early dementia and is hard to get along with sometimes, but as long as you do what she wants you'll be fine.
