Join us for this great networking event that includes an informative presentation. The first portion of the meeting includes giving a 30 second 'commercial' or 'elevator pitch about you, your business and what your ideal customer is. Once everyone has gave their commercial, we will have a presentation from a member or guest. What is this meeting's presentation about? Creating Stronger Contracts: Negotiation and drafting fundamentals for contracts and commercial agreements Attendees will be equipped with fundamental takeaways to advocate for themselves in contract negotiations and learn about drafting tips in legal contracts and agreements (such as asset purchase agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and commercial leases) as well as pitfalls to avoid. Common pitfalls to be discussed include one-sided agreements (scope of liability concerns, insurance, repair obligations in leases, & more), governing law / jurisdiction clauses, and assignability of contracts. Please bring any questions or concerns for Colton to answer relating to your business's day-to-day contract needs. Who is Colton Loretz? Colton T. Loretz, Esq., is a business and commercial real estate attorney with the firm of Reisman Sorokac. Colton serves Northern Nevadan and Southern Nevadan clients' legal needs in commercial estate law (purchases, sales, leases, land use and more), business transactions & M&A activity, contracts, licensing, corporate structuring, and other business legal needs. What is AMP? AMP or ‘Association of Motivated Professionals’ is a networking group in Reno that meets bi-weekly. Our membership allows for one representative per industry to allow for consistent referrals between each other.
