Yard Work/Gardening help needed

Hello... looking for help for a couple of hours - My friend bought this house - has a rock garden thing around the edge of the lawn, about 4 feet wide. Its overgrown, and looks like crap. Trying to clean it up, and fix it, get rid of the weeds, make it look good, and change some of it to an herb garden. Im hoping you have some experience at this sort of job, because I am not very good at it, and have some of the equipment needed - extra flat shovel, etc. etc. Hoping for some help for half a day and to just bang this out a bit faster.. Im asking 20/hour, if that's not appropriate, please let me know.
