Join us for the movie premiere of the documentary "Thugs" on Friday, July 15th. Thugs: The Crimliazation of Black Youth is a documentary exploring the control of Black people through racially profiled arrests and incarceration, essentially modern-day slavery, or the “New Jim Crow”, and the role it plays on black youth across the country. The documentary features Myon Burrell’s story, a man falsely accused of murder at 16 years old and imprisoned for 18 years. Thugs documentary aims to be impactful and spread awareness of racial injustice in the community.The screening/premiere will be held on July 15, 2022 at the Capri Theater.  This event is sponsored by MN Freedom Fund and Wayfinder Foundation.
