Join us for the Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba workshop is both traditional dance and musical style of Puerto Rico. Its origins are rooted in the island's history of African slavery but today has evolved into a community expression of Afro-Puerto Rican culture. Two Hour Workshop; including Song, History and Dance open batey setting focused oncommunity building and engagement. Facilitator: Bomberxs de Corazón of La Escuelita Bombera de Corazón is a collective of Bomba practitioners comitted to the preservation of Bomba. Bomba is Puerto Rico's oldest surviving music and dance form estiblished by the island's African Descendants.
