First, today's weather: Cloudy, a couple of t-storms. High: 85 Low: 76. Here are the top three stories today in Mobile: Mobile reports a new trend of carjackings. According to the Mobile Police Department, there were four armed carjackings last month. The department is reminding the community to be vigilant - put your phone down and be aware of your surroundings. (NBC 15 WPMI)According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, 1 in 4 Mobile residents are testing positive for COVID-19 when getting tested. The department is warning of a rough fall based on the rise of cases experienced during the summer months. According to the department, COVID-19 is still a big threat and the pandemic is not over. (NBC 15 WPMI)The Mobile County Health Department has introduced a new mobile medical unit. The vehicle will be bringing medical services directly into Mobile's neighborhoods. The mobile medical unit has a full-functioning lab that allows the department to provide a number of services for all age groups.
