Potential homeschooling mom with 5 year old wanting to meet same in or nearby Corvallis. I have a kiddo who happens to be high risk for viral illness. Because of this, we are vaccinated (and boosted). Seeking likewise COVID conscious and considerate family(ies) with clean background and a passion for education. Who I am: I am a caring mom with a clean background. I have one grown child and one younger. I have an associate of science degree in liberal studies (BA at OSU in progress). My philosophy is that I believe teaching, learning, and nurturing the mind is a beautiful gift to give. Striving for growth is also a life-long journey with an abundance of hope and possibilities for those who remain open. Why I'm doing this: I'm concerned about the state of public schools currently and I don't want my child to enter a broken system. I anticipate others may likely feel the same way. I'm looking to go back to the basics and have a sense of comradery through a smaller, close knit homeschooling group of famillies. This attempt at reaching out is a community-oriented endeavor that supports education, friendships/socialization for the kids, and common goals in parenthood. It is not a religion-affiliated and it is not a business (not asking fees).
