Operates forklift safely and effectively to load, unload and move product and materials in the distribution yard, warehouse, and onto distribution trucks for outgoing shipment. SHIFT: 12pm to 9pm PAY: $16 per hour GENERAL DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS: Operates forklift safely and effectively to load, unload and move product and materials in the distribution yard, warehouse, and onto distribution trucks for outgoing shipment Ensures proper loading of products and materials on to distribution vehicles for proper loading patterns, including weight distribution requirements and to help prevent shifting or damage to materials or products during transit Ensures completion of daily procedures, tasks and duties as assigned Performs routine inspections and/or safety checks on equipment according to company guidelines and procedures. Notifies management whenever maintenance or repairs are needed on equipment (forklifts, trucks, etc) Informs management of requests or complaints by outside visitors regarding the distribution facility in a timely manner Complies with all company safety standards MERCHANDISING AND INVENTORY PROCESSES: Square-stacks material units to maintain safe and orderly conditions in all areas on a daily basis Covers exposed materials, when required, to prevent weather damage Performs routine vehicle audits for loaded merchandise on distribution trucks when leaving the distribution center by matching what has been loaded to what was on the loading documentation Assists management in maintaining and ensuring compliance with control and audit systems that result in a safe, productive and profitable operation. This includes ensuring that the proper ordering, receiving, and merchandising procedures are followed CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MISCELLANEOUS: Actively works to ensure the safety and well-being of coworkers, suppliers and other visitors to distribution facility. Ensures the cleanliness and appearance of the facility by keeping ground free of clutter including bands, chocks and trash. Ensures work areas are clear of trash, weeds and other obstacles for a safe work environment Makes recommendations to management to improve productivity, reduce losses, maximize equipment performance, and improve quality of service for the facility Follows Standard Operating Procedures while carrying out the responsibilities of position Attends and participates in meetings and company-sponsored training programs as required May assist with other assigned job duties and responsibilities in the facility as assigned by management BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, and Vision Matching 401K Plan Maternity/Paternity Leave 2 Days PTO After 90 Days of Start Date Additional 4 PTO days After 1 Year of employment 5 Paid Company Holidays (4 Hours) All McCoy's stores are open Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm and from 7am to 5pm on Saturday. With a few exceptions, our headquarters staff work 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. While we serve customers six days a week, we are always closed on Sundays.
