Position Summary for a Forklift Driver: Safely and efficiently operate a forklift for the purpose of unloading, loading, moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory in a fast-paced environment. Accurate receiving, storing, and shipping of product to meet company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity. Responsibilities of the Forklift Driver: Operate any material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required Use radio frequency equipment for receiving, put-away, product relocation, and loading functions, as required Unload inbound trailers safely, accurately, and efficiently Move product to proper storage locations Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas and complete all applicable paperwork thoroughly and accurately Comply with all OSHA Standards Comply with all Company work rules, policies, and procedures Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality and quantity variances Required Qualifications of the Forklift Driver: Must be comfortable lifting 50lbs. Strong communication skills with the ability to read and speak English Must be able and willing to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Great attitude! Work Environment for a Forklift Driver: Fast paced industrial machinery and cold storage work environment Warehouse bays are kept at 32 degrees (and below zero in certain areas) Ability to withstand cold storage temperatures for extended periods of time (warm gear provided by company) Noise level varies at times and it can be loud.
