Searching for Vocalist/Frontman for 1960’s Soul, Rhythm & Blues group. We are an 8 piece band, the genre is 1960’s Soul, Rhythm & Blues. We perform music by Sam & Dave, Wilson Picket, Jackie Wilson, James Brown, Little Milton, Ray Charles and more. All the pieces are in place with the exception of a vocalist. Music is all charted out for a 4-5 piece horn section, guitar, bass, and drums. All musicians are veterans of the Chicago music scene. Monthly rehearsals in Western suburbs. We are looking for a vocalist with the vocal range of the artists listed above, someone with energy and confidence. Someone who is familiar, and can show that he has experience in the genre. Obviously, you need your own transportation, you need to practice on your own. Everything else is provided. We are not looking for a business partner, we are looking for a vocalist to front this band. Don’t respond if you are looking for that $200 a night gig, we are not there yet. Don’t respond if you are waiting for your classic rock band to start up again, we are looking for a permanent member. You must provide video or audio of your experience before an audition is scheduled.
