I have an 18-month-old RPA chinchilla whom I adore, however, I just changed jobs and travel for up to a week or more at a time. He has gotten some mats in his hair because I haven't been home enough, and it just breaks my heart. Please research this pet before inquiring. I paid $800 for him and over $500 for the cage. Here are things you need to know: Chinchillas poop a lot, when I'm home I clean his cage daily with a dust buster (takes 5 minutes, but it's necessary). They live for up to 10 or more years They require dust baths a couple of times a week (again, easy - they just roll in the dust, but necessary to keep their fur nice) They don't smell at all, mine is sweet and loves treats, he loves to be able to run around (supervised). He's grey and super cute & fluffy. Please only inquire if you really want to commit to loving and caring for him! Asking $300 rehoming fee (firm). You will get the cage, food, accessories, wheel for him to run, water bottle, dust bath and dust and even the dustbuster to clean the cage.
