Cross-Shift Emb Receiver provides support for the Embroidery production team - both Day and Swing shift. Full Time Hours - Monday through Friday, 12noon to 830pm. Overtime is regularly offered on a volunteer basis.Pay - $18.00/hour with performance incentive up to $4/hour each pay period.Our Location: Our Renton Distribution Center is located in the heart of the Ikea Commercial District where we have 200,000 square feet of state of the art production and inventory. We maximize our facility with three shifts of production, five days per week. We enjoy a culturally diverse workforce and promote team orientated solutions to delight our customers.Job Vision: Receivers work on all shifts in Enhancement. Their position is key to an efficient production operation that runs with very short lead times for custom orders. If the Receivers misplace a tote or don’t scan all the totes on a pallet, then a huge amount of time can be wasted trying to recover the tote in time to meet the customer’s cancel date. Receivers are responsible for following our standard operating procedures for all tasks, but are encouraged to suggest improvements to any current procedure to improve accuracy or efficiency or safety. Job Summary and Essential Functions:This position requires the ability to lift 30 lbs over the employee’s head, and regularly lift products in totes/boxes that may be more than 50 lbs, and to walk throughout the day. No part of this position includes any tasks that are seated. Receivers need the ability to work with an RF gun, read small numbers and letters on orders and carton labels, and will be required to go up and down the steps to the mezzanine multiple times throughout the day. Receivers are also responsible for applying a degree of focus and detail-orientation on each transaction to make sure the right tote is being located in the right place and that the all the right totes for order are being picked and delivered. The position works with an electrical conveyor that feeds totes and cardboard boxes all shift long and the conveyor sets the pace for the work rate. An aptitude about how to optimize the daily tasks is important to make the work efficient and as easy as possible. Assures the accurate put-away/locating of order totes and boxes for the Enhancement Department in the mezzanine, flow racks, single unit put away locations, and pallet locations. Works with other Receivers to coordinate work flow and task prioritization.Scans totes that are singles in designated areas using the RF gun to scan the carton label and location barcode.For totes that are a part of a larger order, determines if any totes have been put away to anchor the location for follow-the-leader totes using the look up function on the RF gun. If a tote for the order has already been put away, finds the location and scans the new tote in to the same/right location. For totes or boxes that arrive on pallets, sort the totes/boxes by order, then move and scan in to their designated locations. May unload multiple pallets a day. Stacks the totes in a way that they sit on top of each other and don’t fall in to the tote underneath.Checks the horseshoe conveyor for totes and cardboard that went down the wrong conveyor and needs to be pulled back to the embroidery area for put away. Picks orders based on the schedule Supervisors create throughout the day. Uses the information on an order to identify the location for the cartons for an order. Uses RF Gun functionality to identify location of orders that do not have a location printed on the work order or are not at the location listed on the work order. Assesses how many totes/boxes need to be found for an order – sends all totes to the MOD.Moves the orders to the conveyor if on the mezzanine to send downstairs. Collects all totes & cartons for an order and delivers them to the specified work MOD. Scans the cartons in to the MOD location = 43. Notifies a Supervisor or Floor Lead when a MOD lets the Receiver know they need any new orders or additional products for an order being run by the MOD before they run out. Additional duties:Responsible for reading the Receiving Log daily for procedure updates and ideas shared between shifts and signing off that they have read and understand the information.Collects and moves the empty blue totes to a pallet to be transported to Picking throughout the day. Collects and moves empty cardboard boxes on a pallet and moves it to the compacting staging area throughout the day.Periodically completes a cycle-counting-like scan of all totes in locations and as requested to assure we have everything located accurately.Problem solves totes that are missing or totes without labels. When an order shows as canceled upon picking, notifies Supervisors.Uses WMI report to determine which tote in a large order were missed when they were scanned in to a location. Helps with organizing orders that need to be batched by style/color as requested.Replaces tote plastic pouches and reflectors as they wear out. Replaces bar codes on put away locations as they wear out.Pulls broken or cracked totes out of production and delivers to the Supervisor in charge of replacing broken totes.May work with the warehouse receiving or picking departments on an occasional basis when they are short staff for some reason. May learn to coordinate orders as a cross-training opportunity to help with production flow as needed.May be asked to help with or take responsibility for putting away thread, backing, or picking both of those things based on a work order to send to contractor. May be asked to help with order batching and sorting from time-to-time by their Supervisor or Management.Helps with housekeeping duties, including but not limited to vacuuming and cleaning as requested.Identify and report any safety issues or concerns immediately to supervisor.Other duties as requested by their Supervisor. Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent degree completion. One to two years’ experience in warehousing/distribution.RF Experience to pick and put-away inventory at specific locations.Proficiency in English speaking, reading and writing required. Work Expectations:High energy, dynamic work environment where you have quick access to all areas of the organizations.Good hand/eye coordination required for 90% of tasks.High level of attention to detail.Proficiently and efficiently performs all manual tasks and functions as trainedPerform assigned tasks in an environment with production floor embroidery machine noise.Demonstrated ability to lift or push carts up to 40+ pounds.Available to work additional hours as necessary and required to meet productivity demands, especially during seasonal peaks.Ability to stand on feet all day on concrete flooring. Proper work attire required for this position – no loose clothing, proper shoes that cover the foot – toes and heels – completely.Physical abilities including but not limited to standing, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, lifting, walking – including walking up and down stairways, are required.Able to work in a warehouse environment that is cold in the winter and hot in the summer.On-site daily to ensure maximum support for department.May require overtime during seasonal periods as appropriate.
