ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — As of Dec. 28, 761 people have died of COVID-19 in Rockland County since the pandemic began 10 months ago. Sixty-two of them died in December. There are currently 99 people hospitalized in the county with confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19. That's up from 53 cases Dec. 4. Since the pandemic began, 26,707 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Rockland. The county has added nearly 10,000 positive cases since Oct. 13.
