🌲 Now Hiring one Ecological Restoration Field Technician in Olympia, WA! 🌲 Sound Native Plants is looking for a new crew member to join our Olympia area team in support of native habitat restoration. Field Technicians will work in small teams performing vegetation maintenance and a wide variety of habitat restoration and maintenance activities, including weed control, mulching and planting. Desired Qualifications: - Ecological restoration, landscaping, or horticulture experience a plus. -Ability to learn and identify native plants and invasive weeds. -Strong preference given to candidates with backgrounds in planting, plant ID, herbicide application, and prior outdoor physical labor work. -Must be able to carry out hard physical labor in all weather conditions -Maintain physical fitness level to perform job tasks - able to lift and carry 50 lbs., crouch, bend, stand, walk for 8-10 hours each day over rough, uneven or slippery terrain and in all weather conditions. -Proficient, safe, proper use of equipment and power tools. -Reliable transportation to meet at pickup or site locations.
