Title: Environmental Services Technician Department: Environmental Services Location: Portland, OR Hours: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Schedule: 1:30 PM to 10 PM Job Summary: Shriners Hospitals for Children – Portland is currently seeking a full-time Environmental Services Technician to join our team! This position is responsible for cleaning of offices, patient rooms, and public areas. Qualifications, Skills & Abilities: • 1 year housekeeping, custodian, janitorial, or general cleaning experience is required • Experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting is preferred • Ability to perform detailed tasks • Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 35 pounds without assistance • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Experience operating housekeeping equipment is preferred • Training in housekeeping cleaning methods is preferred • Knowledge of cleaning chemical usage is preferred • Knowledge of infection control methods for housekeeping procedures is preferred Company Overview: Shriners Hospitals for Children is committed to providing the highest quality care to children with neuro- musculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries and other special healthcare needs within a compassionate, family-centered and collaborative care environment.
