Melodic-prog-metal-minded pianist / acoustic-electric guitarist / extended-range bassist seeking fellow melodic-progmetal-ish collaborators to create evocative, interesting music. I write haunting, melodic acoustic parts that fit well in accompanying pocketed, moving bass lines (over (your?) djent-metal-lead-rhythm and drums). Odd time sigs are my thing, although I also write in more traditional times. My acoustic stuff functions as intros, bridges, layering, and outros to what I hope you will add: crushing metal riffage interlaced with cohesively-fused influences. My listening list it typically stuff like Tesseract (Polaris); The Contortionist (Language, Exoplanet); Owane, Plini, Periphery (select stuff); 12-Foot Ninja (most stuff before the "fire" space video); Their Dogs Were Astronauts (various stuff); AAL... And more of course. Share yours if you want. I'm looking to write interesting music that captivates listeners (non-musicians and musicians alike) without too much self-indulgent overwanking and poodlery, although some of that's cool. Just looking to keep it real. Also, I like aspects of jazz, fusion, funk, select doom metal, select rock, Latin-esque, Turkish, Egyptian, Greek, Indian, Balkan, and other kinds of music (sprinkled in with metal).
