R2 Contractors, Inc. is looking for dedicated mechanic to join our team at our jobsite in Eloy, AZ. The ideal candidate would be diverse in heavy equipment, heavy trucks, medium and light duty trucks, and small engines. In this position, you will be responsible for but not limited to preventative maintenance inspections, DOT inspections on trucks and trailers, heavy equipment repairs and completing given tasks in a timely fashion. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to join the IBEW Union and receive all the benefits! *** UNION MECHANIC WAGES $39.33 WITH BENEFITS*** **CDL preferred*** *** MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING*** Responsibilities: • Complete tasks given by Service Manager or Fleet Manager in a timely fashion and ask for help when needed • Must have own tools • Keep your work area clean and free of garbage, old parts and clutter • Responsible for cleaning and organizing the service truck • Maintain a tool inventory sufficient to perform assigned tasks (up to 1 1/2”) • Keep personal and service truck tools clean and organized • Keeping track of hours/miles on machines when preforming projects/jobs • Keeping good records of daily work and completing work order paperwork EVERYDAY • Keeping proper records of EVERYTHING. • Complete DOT inspections • Stay up to date with new technology • Preform welding and fabrication when needed (MiG, arc, solder, braze, cutting torch, plasma cutting and carbon arc) • USE PROPER PPE (PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT)! (grinding, cutting, sanding, welding, using compressed air etc.) Requirements: • Minimum 1-year heavy equipment/heavy truck experience • Class A CDL with clean driving record • Able to weld and complete fab work • Must be able to read, write and speak English • Must have good communication skills • Must be able to diagnose air brake and air systems, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, systems etc. Physical Demands: • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus • Basic computer skills as demonstrated by knowledge of and ability to use MS Excel and Word • Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner Benefits: • IBEW Local 769 Wages $39.33 • Employer paid AMF.2% of gross wages (Administrative Maintenance Fund) • Employer paid H&W Trust.04/hours worked (Health & Welfare Trust) • Employer paid HRA.85/hours worked (Health Reimbursement Arrangement) • Employer paid JATC APPRENTICESHIP 1.5% of gross wages (Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee) • Employer paid LINECO $7/hours worked (Line Construction Benefit Fund) • Employer paid MGMT PENSION 17% STRAIGHT TIME/hours worked • Employer paid NEBF 3% of gross wages (National Electrical Benefit Fund) • Employer paid NLMCC.01/hours worked (National Labor-Management Cooperation Committee of the Electrical Construction Industry) • Employee paid Union Dues 3% of gross wages (Deductions from each pay check for hours worked) IBEW Local 769 contact is Ron Thweatt 480-423-9769 220 N William Dillard Dr. Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85233
