This may be the apprenticeship for you. This 12-week apprenticeship will lay the foundation of the PRG Construction Project Management group that will afford you opportunities throughout the organization. Position Summary: A successful Apprentice QC Construction Coordinator will: Learn how to coordinate commercial fiber and/or coaxial cable in both an underground and aerial environment Proactively survey locations Examine the permitting process before the construction phase. Put together BOMs and Notice to Proceed packages (NTP) for contractors Review field documentation Collaborate with tenured Construction Coordinators to perform quality control inspections Learn how to report project Essential Functions: Responsible for learning the Outside Plant Cable processes Perform quality control with senior construction coordinators on a regular basis Gain an understanding of both aerial and underground fiber and coax Cross-train in related areas as needed Administrative duties as needed APPRENTICE 6-WEEK SCHEDULE San Antonio This will be a 6-week training for the apprentice construction coordinator to be able to comply with all duties that are expected from the customer and PRG WEEK 1: Taught Aerial Cable TV and NESC construction standards, both in the field and on paper. Learn how to read and interpret Cable TV design. WEEK 2: Start the Quality control process in the field alongside an experienced Construction Coordinator. WEEK 3: We will continue the training from weeks 1 & 2 and start working on projects independently. WEEK 4: The same as week 3 with the addition of the learning documentation process. Week 5: The apprentice will be evaluated by their trainer. WEEK 6: This will be the final week that the apprentice will be Training. Will have a final assessment of their abilities to work independently. Starting pay will be $19.00 per hour and at the successful completion of the apprenticeship be elevated to $24.00.
