Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) has an opening in our Construction Services Department. UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope. The Lab Technician conducts testing and reporting of construction materials in accordance with applicable testing standards /methods. (ASTM, AASHTO, FDOT etc.) Job Responsibilities: Conducts testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials in accordance with applicable testing standards/methods (ASTM, AASHTO, FM, Army Corp of Engineers, DOT, etc.). Report data in a complete, timely, and understandable fashion Ensure that all test equipment used is functioning properly, maintained as required by the company and/or manufacturer's policy and that all calibrated equipment is within its calibration cycle Ensure that project testing requirements are met and compliant with project specifications, requirements, and company policies or procedures Attend all technician meetings Complete daily time and labor reports in accordance with company policy Turn in paperwork every day attached to work order Follow all company safety procedures and policies Assist in typing of reports as needed Other duties may be assigned Required Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Valid Driver's License ACI - Aggregate base testing technician ACI - Compressive strength testing technician ACI - Aggregate Testing technician Preferred Qualifications: CTQP - qualified sampler CTQP - LBR technician
