Description

Join us for a cup of tea and a gentle, restorative hike along Mill Creek as it leads to the Huron River. The hike is led by Washtenaw County Parks Naturalist Shawn Severance, in collaboration with Mindful Dexter. We'll walk mostly on a level surface (paved and wooden boardwalk) for approximately a mile, heading north from Mill Creek Park. Where to meet: Mill Creek Park North, near the terrace behind the Dexter District Library. Where to park: There is limited parking behind the Dexter Fire Station. Additional parking is available along Alpine Street or at the Dexter Library. (If you park on Alpine Street or at the Library, to get to our meeting point at Mill Creek Park North you will take the wooden staircase, located between the library and the farmers market area, down to the park). What to bring: Feel free to bring a cup or travel-mug for tea, although we will have plenty of extras on hand. You might also want to bring bug spray in case the bugs are plentiful. What about rain? If weather is inclement, we'll reschedule and will contact registered attendees by 4:30 p.m. on the day of the event.
