Proceeds from the golf tournament will benefit TEF’s Dr. Stan Scheer Memorial Student Opportunity Fund. Presented by Bank of Colorado Thompson Education Foundation is honored to have worked beside Dr. Stan Scheer for the five years he was superintendent of Thompson School District and will continue his spirit and generosity with the Dr. Stan Scheer Memorial Student Opportunity Fund. Quietly, Dr. Scheer often reached into his own pocket to help students, many in such a way that they often didn’t know where the support came from. The Scheer Student Opportunity Fund will emulate his support for TSD students, providing gap funding for Thompson School District students to embrace individual academic, leadership, recognition and extracurricular opportunities and ensuring opportunities when there are financial barriers in the way. We are excited for our district staff and local community members to come together in a fun event that will provide further opportunities for TSD students.
