Yoga + Meditation for Anxiety MasterClass In this 90 minute in person masterclass Angela Prior LCSW-S, RYT will spend 30 minutes educating and providing the neuroscience of anxiety and our nervous system. The last 60 minutes of the workshop will be dedicated to a trauma informed gentle mat yoga class designed to facilitate grounding and down regulation of the nervous system. What you will gain from this masterclass What is Anxiety Education on our Nervous System The role our vagal nerve plays in our stress and relaxation response Applicable tools to utilize to reduce anxiety symptoms Experiential 60 minute yoga session Yoga Nidra + Deep Rest MasterClass In this 90 minute in person masterclass Amanda Cockerham 500hr RYT will break down what a Yoga Nidra is and the purpose of a Yoga Nidra practice. Identify and practice different relaxation tools and techniques to utilize for reducing muscle tension and may help reduce stress + anxiety symptoms The last 30-45 minutes of the masterclass spend in deep rest and relaxation as your practice Yoga Nidra or also known as yogic sleep. A practice utilizing guided imagery and visualization to facilitate a deep state of conscious awareness, which is a deeper state of relaxation with awareness. What you will gain from this masterclass An understanding of what Yoga Nidra is The benefits of the practice Relaxation tools Experiential practice of Yoga Nidra and deep rest RESTorative Yoga MasterClass In this 90 minute MasterClass Angela Prior LCSW-S will spend 15 minutes educating on the foundations of a restorative practice and the role of the parasympathetic nervous system in our relaxation response. The last 75 minutes will be spent in a mat restorative yoga practice with guided imagery and meditation as a way to facilitate ease in the body even when the mind is busy. This practice will also be trauma informed which means no hand adjustments instead using sandbags and other supportive props to find a different physical experience in the class. This class will utilize yoga philosophies and neuroscience as way to engage our relaxation response and help us restore our nervous system.
