Once a month, the Innovation Collective gathers local community members for a night of storytelling from local entrepreneurs, exceptional citizens, politicians or other civic leaders, and innovative minds. We designed this to be a way for curious and ambitious people to connect with others just like them--people who are creating value for their communities, looking for their next steps, figuring out their purpose, building better futures, and becoming better versions of themselves. With the chance to hear the stories of trial and error, first failures and big wins, do's and don'ts of those who are doing it and have been for some time, the community can get inspired about the endless possibilities of innovations, and change the narrative that accessing a capitalist economy is possible for them, too. Young & Michal Bennett are the owners of a local coffee subscription/delivery service, and they also create all natural non-alcoholic sodas and other beverages. They are known as Coffee Roboto, but ironically their aim is to make consuming as thoughtful and human as possible. Come try their drinks, and hear about how they discovered their passion for this idea and how they hope to begin expanding it into something with even more impact.
