MARLBOROUGH, MA — On New Year's Day, Marlborough residents will leave behind a year marked by unprecedented hardship and challenges. Public transit: There will be no MWRTA bus service on Jan. 1; MBTA commuter rail trains are on a weekend schedule, and the entire Worcester-Framingham line is being reduced due to employee shortages.
