Join us to learn how you can use books as a way to start conversations with the children in your life, and to help them to learn about the world, while supporting pediatric mental health, and helping children develop strong relationships and resiliency. Dr. Koli's presentation will be followed by a discussion with School Librarians Becky Calzada and Carolyn Foote from the #Freadom Fighters Organization. This is part of the Banned Camp series, which is a partnership between Austin Public Library and BookPeople and other partners. We invite you to come together, engage with books that have been banned or challenged, and be part of the conversation.
